What is Highbury School?
Highbury School (formerly Hill Side) is a special school for children aged 2-11 years with additional needs and/or disabilities. Many of the children who attend Highbury have multiple, complex needs that require a high level of support and specialist teaching in appropriate learning environments. There are currently 54 pupils attending Highbury. The school is in the process of building an extension to accommodate the pupils and their equipment adequately.
Who are the ‘Friends of Highbury’?
Friends of Highbury Development Fund is a charity that was started by parents with the aim of funding enrichment activities and resources for the children of Highbury School that are not otherwise provided by the main school funds. Eighteen months after initially gaining charitable status the ‘Friends’ are now working in partnership with parents, staff and the wider community. We are delighted to be supported by Sainsbury’s this year.
